Consoleplug CP06047 INFECTUS2 Chip for XBOX360
The team behind the Infectus multi-console modchip has released a new beta version of their programming software along with v2 of their modchip. The new programming software comes with the promised D2C DVD-ROM Nintendo Wii support along with initial BenQ DVD-ROM support for XBOX 360 consoles.
The Infectus v2 is basically the same chip, but features on off of the board USB port which is attached to the main chip via a flex cable. Having moved the USB port off of the chip makes it really easy to program it after it's installed into a console. They've also added a bank mode switch to use multiple BIOS's and three different LED's for displaying the status of the chip.
The Infectus modchip is a multi-console solution allowing you to downgrade your PS3, XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii. It also allows you to flash your XBOX 360's DVD-ROM drive. Lastly, it can be used as a normal modchip in a Playstation 2 or Nintendo Wii video gaming console.
